Sabah RC Indoor Championship 2012

KS Hobby cooperate with Dualsky Track & Field Malaysia to organized its very first biggest EP RC Championship race in Sabah on last 6th-8th April 2012. The race was held at Malaysia's biggest futsal court ,Borneo Sport Arena which located in Kolombong,Kota Kinabalu where carpet have been lay on the track for the event (80 feet x 36feet).

This race comprise two categories, which is Stock Touring category and Drift Touring category. Rule of the race for Stock Touring is that racer must use Dualsky's 10.5t Brushless Motor and for Drift Touring, racer must use Square Drift Tyres. There are around 74 racers from Sabah, Sarawak,Brunei, and West Malaysia who came to race with one common aim ,to be crowned as the Champion for the race.

The Race format was 6 x 5 minutes qualifying round for both class, followed by a 3 x 5 minute finals for A Main Group (Fastest Top 10), 2 x 5 minutes finals for B Main Group , 1 x 5 minutes final for C Main Group, D Main Group and E Main Group.

After 6 rounds of qualifying in the Stock Touring, Brunei racer, Wirawan took the Top Qualifier spot ahead of Norazam and Shahrin.

In leg 1 of the finals Wirawan lead from the start to finish with no major challenge . Coming in 2nd and 3rd position are Nilai Chong and KS Chu.

In Leg 2, Wirawan managed to clinch 1st again and was crowned the champion of the day, followed closely by KS Chu in 2nd and Raphael in 3rd.

In the final leg 3, KS Chu managed to overtake Norazam and lead from the start till the end followed by Hazmi and Nilai Chong.

Despite stiff competition, experienced driver, Nilai Chong dominated the Drift Touring Class , displaying exquisite controlling. He won the Top Qualifier and won 1st and 3rd leg finals to win the championship. Brunei EC Drifters, Fariz and Faiz took home 2nd and 3rd position.

Sabah Drift Championship 2012 Round 2 was held at Asiacity 4th Floor on 10.03.2012.

Sabah Drift Championship 2012 Series Round 1

Sabah Drift Championship is back again with new rules of Competition. Unlike the previous series, this new series introduce new point system by Ring the Bell to gain point for your Drifting. Racer need to Hit the bell to gain extra point for the round beside need to get the fastest lap times.

The first round which took place at Asiacity Parking space on 05.2.2012 attract 13 racers to join the race.

Ah Vun dominating the whole race by putting in a Full point and fastest laptimes. The only person that can challenge Ah vun is Rayner who also getting Full point and alittle slower laptimes than Ah vun. Unfortunately Rayner unable to proceed to final round after he defeated by Ah vun in the Semi Final round.

Ah ming go through into final after he defeated Afiq in semi final.

Final round will be Ah vun VS Ah ming. Ah vun hard practise paid off after he have no problem to take the Crown from ah ming in the final round.
